Now that you are clear about your @ha Idea, the need that it fulfills and its market opportunity/market analysis you need to focus on the competitive landscape.
Existing Competition
What is the existing competition for your product. List them by product and geography. Build a spreadsheet for the existing competition and outline their offering, route to market, pricing and differentiators. Try and order them by competitive relevance.
Potential Competition
Now you need to look into the future - 1 year plus and list potential competitors both direct and indirect. Think hard about how your product will adapt buyers behavior and then think about who that could effect from a competitive standpoint and extrapolate their likely response.
Tip: It is essential while doing this exercise on describing and analyzing the potential competitive landscape that you are as neutral as possible. Beware, you are already emotionally involved in your idea so you will be naturally biased against the competition - but DO NOT let this affect how you analyze the competition. Competition could be one of the greatest reason why your product succeeds or fails so figure it out accurately and in detail right now before you become any more invested in your idea.
